The American Institute of Architect Students (AIAS) is an intense student run Organization that has been working for the betterment of the Architectural Education Community for over 50 years. AIAS NJIT has devoted its time to creating opportunities for students not found in studio. Networking with other architecture students from around the nation, by attending annual meetings, like Grassroots, Forum, and Quad are just one of the many ways AIAS can serve you! Not to mention hanging out with the rest of AIAS is always a plus!

AIAS would like the help of students at the College and Career Expo which will be held at NJIT’s campus on September 24, 2011! In return helping students will be given two FREE NJSOA t-shirts and 50% off one plot in the Print Room.
Areas needed for help include:
Two students to run the front desk from 8-12 pm
Two students to run the front desk from 12-4 pm
Six students to give building tours

Last Friday NJIT hosted the Newark Suburban Design Awards at the NJSOA Gallery! It was a wonderful opportunity for AIAS members, NJIT students, and Professionals of the area to mingle. Dinner and Live music was included for the special event.
Grassroots is the national leadership conference held each year by AIAS. It is geared towards training chapter leaders to run a more successful, efficient chapter, one that can give back to its members. The E-Board: Vicky Tran, Zim Seferi, Kami Longmore, and John Cassidy attended this past summer in Washington DC…
It was a weekend full of informational sessions, keynotes, networking, and tons of new friends across the nation!
